Similar to yoga with a big emphasis on the body’s core/ power house (area between shoulders and hips). Pilates develops strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, co-ordination, balance, and good posture. Exercise practices will help to build the strength required to hold the spine in the correct position and this will in turn be hugely beneficial in every area of life, as well as other disciplines of physical activity.
Challenging but brilliant for beginners (to both Pilates and Yoga) and even seasoned practioners. The alignment learnt in Pilates is for life!
