The original Vinyasa yoga! Ashtanga is an intense, flowing style with a set sequence of postures. We teach only the primary series, which is intended to realign the spine, detoxify the body, and build strength, flexibility and stamina. The series (of about 75 poses) takes 90 minutes and ends with a deep relaxation.
Not recommended for beginners as it is fast moving and can be overwhelming. We encourage you to attend the Flow and Power classes to gain strength and a knowledge of poses, before joining the class. This is a great class for students with intermediate to advanced practice.
